What is your booking policy? Do you offer payment plans?

View our booking policy details below. Non-Refundable Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $750 per person is required and secures your booking. Deposits can be paid via Wire Transfer, MasterCard, Visa, or American Express. Checks are not accepted. As a heads up: Wire Transfers must cover all fees charged by your bank. Remaining Balance Payments: The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the departure date of your trip. Balance payments can be paid via MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Wire Transfer. Again: Wire Transfers must cover all fees charged by your bank. If your balance payment is not received 90 days prior to the start of your trip, your reservation will be canceled, and your non-refundable deposit will be forfeited. A payment reminder will be emailed 2 weeks before your final payment due date. Payments for trips within 90 Days: If you register for a program within 90 days of the departure date, payment in full will be required at the time of registration. Payment Plans: Payment plans may be accepted on a case by case basis. Please inquire here.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

View our cancellation policy details below. If you decide to cancel your trip more than 90 days prior to your departure date: Full refund minus the non-refundable deposit. If you decide to cancel your trip less than 90 days prior to your departure date: There will be no refunds → This is due to the time and logistics that go into the planning of your trip. As the departure date of the trip gets closer, we have already incurred costs associated with the logistics of the trip. As such we will not make any exceptions to this policy. If you decide to end your trip early, for whatever reason, there will be no refunds. However, we are reasonable people. In the event of a family emergency, we will do our best to work with you regarding potentially refundable costs. If your balance payment is not received 90 days prior to the start of your trip, your reservation will be canceled, and your non-refundable deposit will be forfeited. We reserve the right to cancel a trip at any time. Please see below for specifics: If we cancel the trip PRIOR to its start due to natural disasters, political instability of the destination country, pandemics, or any other reasons, we will provide you a credit for a future trip. If we cancel the trip AFTER its start due to natural disasters, political instability of the destination country, pandemics, or any other reasons, there will not be any refunds - which is why we require travel insurance for these potential situations. If we change a trip itinerary or abort a summit attempt for whatever reason (weather, conditions, volcanic activity), before or after the trip's start date, this will not be considered a cancellation, and as such you will not be refunded. If we cancel a portion of the itinerary due to weather, unsafe route conditions, group fitness, volcanic activity, or other reasons, we will do our best to replace that portion with a similar objective, or alternate activity such as climbing, tours, or other exploring. For the above reasons, we adamantly require travel insurance. Please see here for recommendations.

If I don’t have all the necessary equipment, do you rent gear?

Yes! Please let us know via email at least 30 days in advance for what equipment you will need. We partner with a local gear shop to fill the gap!

Can I book a solo trip?

Absolutely! We love having solo travelers/climbers looking to explore. Feel free to inquire about standard & custom options for solo trips.

We have a big group, can you support our booking?

Ecuador requires a 2:1 client to guide ratio. In order to make sure we can facilitate bigger bookings by having the necessary number of guides, for parties exceeding 6 climbers, please inquire here.

How can I confirm that I paid for my trip?

You’ll find your payment confirmation in your confirmation email.

Can I make changes to my booking?

Changes to your personal information, what rental gear you may need, flights in & out of the country on your expected travel date, can all easily be changed. Please email us at info@northxsouthexpeditions.com to update this information. Changes to your trip dates or itinerary, size of your climbing party, and other trip related details may be accommodated 90 days or more prior to your departure date. To change this information less than 90 days prior to your departure date is not possible.
